At JA of Greater Baton Rouge, we host several events throughout the year to raise money to support our programming. These events also engage the community in our efforts to reach students! Whether you'd like to get involved on an individual level or as a business through event sponsorship, we offer several ways for you to support our work while having a great time!
Crawfish King Cookoff 2026
Join us for the ultimate team crawfish boil competition, where companies vie for the prestigious title of Crawfish King! Held in downtown Baton Rouge, this event features over 13,000 pounds of crawfish.
Open to the public & ALL YOU CAN EAT!
Tickets are available in advance for $35, which includes all-you-can-eat crawfish ($40 at the gate). Kids' tickets are just $10.

JA in a Day
JA in a Day is a high impact way to deliver JA's lessons for a particular grade level all on the same day. Some schools choose to have every grade receive JA programming on the same day. "JA in a Day" is a unique opportunity as it offers volunteers a great opportunity to get involved with Junior Achievement without juggling schedule conflicts or long-term commitments.

Crawfish King Cookoff
This event is a team crawfish boil competition where companies compete for the title of Crawfish King. Typically over 13,000 lbs of crawfish are boiled and the competition takes place in downtown Baton Rouge. It is open to the public and tickets can be purchased in advance for $35 all you can eat crawfish- ($40 at the gate). Kids tickets are $10. Date: May 10, 2024
