Junior Achievement is the largest and fastest growing non-profit education organization in the world!   The purpose of Junior Achievement is to educate and inspire young people to value free enterprise, business and economics to improve the quality of their lives.  The growth and changes that are currently taking place in the Baton Rouge area provide the opportunity for JA to expand its organization and its impact.  JA’s goal is to double the number of students by 2012 and we are committed to reaching this goal with honesty, integrity and excellence.  Junior Achievement of Greater Baton Rouge & Acadiana is a not-for-profit organization financed by businesses, individuals, foundations and special events. 

JA Worldwide is a partnership between the business community, educators, and volunteers - all working together to inspire young people to dream big and reach their potential. Through our worldwide, efforts, more than 245,000 volunteers from businesses and other community organizations enter the classroom to deliver JA's hands-on programs designed to teach the key concepts of workforce readiness, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy. These programs reach 7.5 million kids a year dream, believe, and achieve.
